I am a father of three wonderful children. I am blessed to be married to a truly special woman for coming up on 27 years. I have been a small business owner for 21 years and understand the stress and joy of meeting a payroll and the agony and liberation of failure. I am an official of high school sports who is certified in three sports but underneath it all I am an Umpire. I love competition within the rules and the pure joy found in competing fairly and honestly. I abhor the cheaters in sports and the world who view the rules as an inconvenience; those who don’t think they have cheated if they don’t get caught. One of my children is a child with special needs. Her arrival and the way my older children grew into saviors of our family under that stress has taught me more about honor than any book or lecture could have. I don’t believe in a world view that is black or white, but I do know that right and wrong are absolutes and good and evil does exist.
